The world lies in ruins. Following the mysterious Project Pneuma, the Overseers of the SCP foundation chose to exterminate all of humanity in an event known as Project Echelon- bringing about the end of normal life as we know it. Untold horrors walk among the ashes, as the remnants of humanity struggle to survive. No one understands why the Foundation turned upon itself, massacring most of its personnel and unleashing the anomalies it had worked so hard to contain.

But all is not lost just yet. With the mysterious appearance of the SCP 5000 “Absolute Exclusion Harness”, it may be possible to understand the motives of the Overseers, the origins of the mysterious Project Pneuma, and the events leading up to the destruction of the world. It is up to you- and the few remaining Foundation personnel- to uncover the secrets of the SCP Foundation and undo the madness that Project Echelon has unleashed upon the world.

Welcome to Project Pneuma- an atmospheric survival horror experience where every shadow hides a new terror, and every step could lead to salvation or doom.

For decades, the SCP Foundation has worked in the shadows, securing and containing the many supernatural anomalies- known as SCPs- that hide behind the façade of the ‘normal’ world. Working in absolute secrecy beyond the boundaries of traditional government structures and legal systems, the SCP Foundation has utilised rigorous research, experiments, and even the use of other SCPs, The foundation has been successful in hiding the evidence of these unexplained entities and objects from the public. The Foundation’s mission was to maintain the fragile balance between the normal and the paranormal, protecting an unsuspecting world from the horrors that lurked just beneath its surface. It was successful for a time… until now.

Everything changed with the experiment known only as Project Pneuma. Whatever the O5 council discovered drove them to end humanity altogether, destroying decades of effort and the careful protocols the SCP Foundation had put in place to protect the world and its people from the supernatural. Now, the Foundation is in shambles and SCPs run rampant and uncontained, with no one to stand between them and the defenceless innocents.

This is where you come in. As a member of the surviving SCP Foundation personnel, it is your task to find a way to reverse Project Echelon and the designs of the Overseers. You must navigate the remnants of the world and discover its secrets. But beware, for danger lurks around every corner, from the relentless SCP-106 to the gigantic, bloodthirsty SCP-2863. Packs of SCP-939 prowl in the shadows, while SCP-049, now free from containment, continues his horrifying experiments on human victims, creating hordes of SCP-049-A to serve his manic whims.

Above all is the mysterious Operator, a being seen only rarely and referred to by a multitude of names- “the tall man” and “der grossman”, to name a few. Almost nothing is known about its goals, but there is no denying its role in the chaos that has consumed the world.

Use your wits and knowledge to survive as you walk the fine line between reality and nightmare. Will you save what is left of humanity- or succumb to the madness that has consumed the world? Find out in Project Pneuma.

A unique horror title: In Project Pneuma, the player will navigate a world torn apart by Project Echelon. To eliminate humanity for the good of the world, the Overseers of the SCP Foundation have unleashed every horror contained by the Foundation onto an unsuspecting population. Amidst the chaos, you must explore and survive as you find a way to reverse Project Echelon and save humanity.

Explore a meticulously crafted environment where dangers lurk around every corner, and the line between reality and nightmare thinner with every step. Experience a combination of atmospheric, survival and psychological horror and you plumb the depths of Project Pneuma.

Encounter and survive the mysterious SCPs: In the wake of Project Echelon, the worst of the anomalies contained by the SCP foundation have been let loose. There is no escaping the presence of these entities on your travels, so be prepared! Some of the better-known SCPs you might run into are:

  • SCP 096 “Shy Guy”: While normally docile, this humanoid SCP will fly into a state of extreme distress and rage if its face is seen- whether in person or on screen- and proceed to violently kill any and everyone who has seen its face. Caution is advised, since there seems to be no way of escaping SCP 096 once its face has been seen.

  • SCP 035 “Possessive Mask”: SCP 035 appears in the form of a porcelain theatre mask- but beware- anyone coming into close proximity is overwhelmed with a desire to put the mask on. Upon doing so, SCP 035 causes brain death in the victim and assumes control of the body. SCP-035 is extremely sadistic and manipulative, able to convince people to commit suicide or degrade into mindless minions.

  • SCP 939 “With Many Voices”: A bestial, pack-based predator, SCP 939 excels at luring in unwary victims by mimicking the voices of humans- usually its past victims- in distress. Once its prey is lured in, SCP-939 attacks with ruthless efficiency.

  • SCP 2863 “Gashadokuro”: Usually taking the shape of a giant, skeletal spectre, SCP 2863 will stalk unwary victims to drink their blood. This extremely dangerous entity also appears in groups, and cannot be harmed by anything other than strong light, from the sun or an artificial source.

  • SCP 106 “The Old Man”: an SCP that takes the form of the decayed corpse of an elderly man. SCP-106 is undeterred by solid objects or barriers, and exudes a corrosive substance that easily eats through solid matter. Known to hunt humans merely out of a sadistic desire to cause pain, SCP 106 is highly dangerous and must be avoided at all costs.

  • SCP 049 “The Plague Doctor” The enigmatic SCP 0449 takes the form of a human, specifically a medieval plague doctor. It appears both sentient and convivial towards human beings, and can even prove helpful at times… but its ultimate motives remain unknown, and its brutal ‘experiments’ in the name of curing an unidentified plague are anything but benevolent.

  • SCP 049-2 Mindless abominations created by SCP 049 in the course of its experiments. Mutilated and transformed to be almost unrecognisable from their original forms, these creatures are nonetheless extremely dangerous and unpredictable.

  • SCP 001 “When the Black Moon howls”: An extremely powerful entity linked to the Earth’s moon, SCP-001 can bring about absolute entropy and destruction. SCP-001 has been described as a force of nature, bringing about the death and destruction of nearly everything. Even a glimpse of the black moon can cause madness.
