Unity Game Developer
We are looking for candidates skilled in Unity single-player and multiplayer games who can work on the game from concept to launch and those who are creative and have the required technical skills. We are not looking for clones here.
While experience is a factor, we are open to hiring freshers if their games and skills match. It is an ON-site position starting May 2023.
Job – Responsibilities:
Help define the feel of our core gameplay.
Work with Unity Game Engine to develop high-quality 2D/3D single-player and/or multiplayer games for platforms such as Windows, Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation VR, iOS, and Android.
Implement gameplay functionality as per the designers’ instructions.
Design, implement, debug, and refine reusable gameplay mechanics.
Design levels with player experience in mind.
Parallelly deal with performance and multiplatform-deployment challenges.
Collaborate with the art and design departments to improve gameplay, game features, and final game output.
Qualifications:
You have at least 2+ years of prior experience with Unity Game Engine.
You are a creative mind with a strong understanding of programming for games (mathematics, logic, debugging, physics) as well as version control systems (ex. Git).
You know one key to mastering gameplay mechanics is playing games. You love it a lot.
You are passionate about developing games and you love overcoming challenges.
You are always looking to improve your own skills.
You are a brilliant team player and love working with others.
You must be willing to do either of the following:
Provide certifications for at least 3 years of professional experience with Unity, such as offer/relieving/recommendation letters from previous employers and credits in released titles made using Unity.
Take a development test. While you reserve all rights to what you create in the test, you must submit the complete source corresponding to your final submission.
Pluses:
You are someone who takes incentive in a team environment to improve the final product.
Proficiency with a non-visual-scripting programming language such as C++ or C#.
Familiarity with virtual reality.
Prior experience with released games.
Preliminary knowledge of DCC tools like Blender, Maya, Gimp, Photoshop, etc.
Preliminary understanding of player psychology and game design.
Experience working with game engines other than Unity.
